Approach
Good design stands at the crossroads of function and beauty. It engages, compels, and makes perfect sense. This is what I strive to give my clients at Yosei Shibata Design.
The journey to get there should be a revelatory and inspiring experience with strong relationships formed along the way. I observe and I listen until I understand: only then do I immerse myself in the creative challenge.
My process aims to unearth and communicate the intangible essence of a brand that people fall in love with. From its behavior to its products; I believe every brand has a story to tell and that design can be the most powerful way to tell it.

Yosei Shibata is a Los Angeles based art director, born and raised in Tokyo. Currently a Digital Art Director at FIGS.
Founded with an ambition to create a beautiful and intelligent design that tells a story, work is recognized across print, packaging, editorial, advertising, and digital media.
Yosei specializes in creating brand identity, graphic design, and art direction for the industries of fashion, art, culture, and commerce.
